That Vergil page is a hoot! Imagine if you really could add Dante as a friend. He might be a bit moany, but still…
Dante would always have something interesting to say, I bet.
I love the use of “So-and-so is off line.”
Yeah, it’s full of great little touches, I have to say.
Hey. I dropped by the Tolkien and Trollope conversation to support-by-attending, even though I’m an ignoramus on the subject.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have a lot of value to contribute. Sorry. It was interesting, though, and gave me a couple points to think about with my own non-urban settings.
It was good to see you; although I brought along crickets this time and never had a chance to use them.
City environments are a lot easier for me to tell stories about. I’ve noticed my countrysides are mostly just places where monsters lurk. “I paint what I see,” in the words of the Gahan Wilson cartoon…
Since I’m writing “urban fantasy” ie with a contemporary setting, I’m trying to use non-urban environments to be a little different.
I like urban settings, too, though.
